  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp (30 ml)
  • Spaghetti – 12 oz (340 g)
  • Tomato paste – 2 tbsp (30 ml)

  • Bay leaf – 1
  • Black pepper – ½ tsp (2.5 ml)
  • Dried oregano – 1 tsp (5 ml)
  • Salt – 1 tsp (5 ml)

  • Dry red wine – ½ cup (120 ml)

    Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat until shimmering.

    Add ground beef and cook for 6 minutes, breaking it up with a spoon until no pink remains.
