- Ginger Paste – 50 g (1.76 oz)
- Lemon Juice – ½ lemon
- Mint Leaves – ½ bunch
- Sliced Onion – 150 g (5.29 oz)
- Tomato (cubed) – 150 g (5.29 oz)
- Water – 1 litre (4.23 cup)

- Bay Leaf – 1
- Cardamom – 4
- Coriander Leaves – ¼ bunch
- Cinnamon – 1 stick
- Cloves – 4
- Garam Masala Powder – ½ tsp (2.5 ml)
- Salt – To taste

- Chilli Powder – 1 tsp (5 ml)
- Curd – 100 ml (3.38 fl oz)

Heat oil and sauté the cinnamon, bay leaf, cardamom, and cloves.

Add sliced onions and cook until golden brown.

Add ginger paste and garlic paste; sauté until the raw smell disappears.

Mix in chilli powder, garam masala, mint leaves, tomatoes, curd, coriander leaves, and salt.

Pour in 1 litre of water and bring it to a rolling boil.

Add the soaked Jeera Samba rice and cook until about 90% done.

Drizzle ghee, squeeze in the lemon juice, and garnish with a few more mint leaves.

Cover and dum on a hot dosa tawa over low flame for 20 minutes.

Serve hot with Salna, Kurma, Raita, or Brinjal Gravy and enjoy!
