- 1 quart heavy whipping cream (946 ml)
🧂Spices & Seasonings(1)
- Salt to taste (optional)optional

Pour heavy cream or whipping cream into a standing mixer bowl.

Attach the whisk and start the machine on low speed, then raise to medium speed.

Whisk for about 10 minutes until you see the butter clinging to the whisk attachment and starts to solidify.

Once the butter has solidified, pour off the buttermilk and save it for baking.

Scoop the butter into a strainer and rinse it by pouring ice water over it, pressing the remaining buttermilk out.

Keep rinsing the butter with ice water until the water runs clear, replacing the water as needed.

Shape the butter using parchment paper and season with salt if desired.
