📦Other(2)

  • 1 tbsp doenjang (fermented soybean paste) (15 ml)
  • 1/2 tbsp gochugaru (korean spicy chilli flakes) (7.5 ml)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. 1

Chop your zucchini, onion, and tofu into small cubes.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, mix together gochujang, gochugaru, doenjang, minced garlic, and soy sauce to make your broth sauce.

  3. 3

In a meal prep container, add your chopped veggies, broth sauce, and meat.

  4. 4

Seal the container and freeze overnight or until ready to eat.

  5. 5

When ready to eat, remove the lid & microwave the container for 15 seconds to make it easy to remove the frozen block of ingredients.

  6. 6

In a pot on high heat, add your frozen block of ingredients and chicken bone broth and cover with a lid as it comes to a boil.

  7. 7

Boil until everything is cooked through and enjoy!

💡 Pro Tips

  • Microwave the frozen block for exactly 15-20 seconds to create thermal shock that loosens the container edges without starting to cook the ingredients.timing15-20 seconds
  • Cube tofu to 3/4-inch pieces because smaller cubes disintegrate during the freeze-thaw cycle when ice crystals rupture cell walls.technique3/4-inch pieces
  • Add frozen block to already-simmering broth rather than cold liquid to prevent temperature shock that causes vegetables to release excess water and dilute flavors.technique
  • Mix gochujang paste with 1-2 tablespoons of room temperature water before combining with other sauce ingredients to prevent clumping when frozen.ingredient1-2 tablespoons
  • Boil covered for the first 3-4 minutes to rapidly heat the frozen core, then uncover to concentrate flavors through evaporation.timing3-4 minutes covered
